GUIDE TO BOOKING A SPIRITUAL TATTOO
Creating a spiritual symbolic tattoo is a deeply personal journey of transforming meaningful ideas into a permanent piece of art. At our multi-style tattoo studio in Canggu, Bali, we specialize in helping you manifest these concepts through expert design and composition.
1. Define Your Vision: Size and Placement
The first step is deciding on the rough size and the part of your body you wish to tattoo. These factors are crucial because they dictate the level of detail we can realistically include while ensuring the tattoo remains beautiful as it heals.
2. Choosing Your Symbols
Your tattoo should reflect what you want to manifest or honor. While you can find inspiration in our Spiritual Tattoo Gallery, you are not limited to those symbols.
Common symbols for inspiration include:
- Lotus: Purity.
- Unalome: Path to enlightenment.
- Mountains: Strength.
- Crescent Moon: Feminine energy.
- Om Sign: Spiritual icon.
3. Prioritize Your Elements
To create a balanced composition, list your chosen elements from most important to least important. Having a prioritized list allows your artist the range to create an organic, flowing design rather than one that feels crowded.
4. Technical Limitations and Healing
It is important to understand the natural limitations of skin and ink. High-density designs with too many small details in a tiny area may not age as well as a clean, well-spaced composition. For more details, see our posts on Fresh vs. Healed Fineline Tattoos and Microrealism vs. Minimalist Tattoos.
5. Preparing Your Reference
The best way for us to understand your idea is to prepare a rough collage or a collection of images showing the style you prefer. You are not limited to a specific number of elements; feel free to send any symbols or images that feel important to your vision.
Based on our over 13 years of professional expertise, we will help you prioritize which elements to keep and determine the best order for a cohesive design. We use your references as a starting point to ensure the composition looks organic, as seen in examples.
6. Consultation and Booking
Our process typically begins with a brief online consultation. During this stage, we will provide an estimated duration for your tattoo session and an estimated price.
If you’re still unsure about certain details, an offline consultation at our studio is always possible. This allows us to finalize the design and placement together in our professional and cozy environment.
- Free Consultations: We love getting to know you! A free consultation includes rough sketching and composition, which is usually enough for most people to see the vision come together.
- Finalizing Your Design: To respect the time and artistry involved, we prepare all final designs for the session once a deposit is paid. If you would like to fully finalize and polish your design during the consultation itself, we do require a deposit to be paid first. This ensures we can dedicate the necessary time to make your idea truly come alive.
7. Finalizing the Design Together
We are here to help customize your idea. While we don't choose the symbols for you, we provide professional guidance on composition and anatomy to ensure your new ink fits you perfectly
